OUR MINISTRIES
Christian Education Ministry
This ministry promotes the biblical and spiritual growth of every church member. This ministry is integral to the life of the church and its chairperson has the responsibility of educating the flock. The chairperson is expected to make positive connections with members and ministries in order to assess congregant needs. This ministry facilitates small group bible study, workshops, bible study, Sunday school, written material, classes, and retreats to educate members about the bible, the church, and the Christian calendar.
Dance/Drama Ministry
The purpose of this ministry is to praise and worship God through dance. This ministry is ongoing and prepares praise/liturgical dances for each season of the Christian calendar. Dance Ministry members practice consistently and are taught how to interpret scripture into movement. The drama ministry will provide theatrical interpretations of biblical concepts; and show people how to integrate biblical principles into their daily lives. The chairperson will work with a group of actors to develop this ministry. The members will prepare and deliver skits, monologues, and plays for worship and special services .
Evangelism Ministry
This ministry promotes evangelism in the life of the church; provides training in personal witnessing and scheduling congregational activities for outreach. This ministry will focus on the marketing of the church by promoting awareness through brochures, ads, posters, and a website in order to share the faith with non-believers and prospective members. This ministry is expected to collaborate with outside organizations to model Christ’s love.
Finance Ministry
This ministry organizes and evaluates the financial status of the church, and guides the fiscal responsibility of the church. The chairperson recommends the yearly budget and amendments to the budget; Produces, maintains and secures all church financial records; consistently communicates financial condition of church to the Pastor and church congregants. This ministry collaborates regularly with Treasurer and Secretary. This ministry will also facilitate workshops to teach people how to be good stewards of their finances.
Membership Ministry
The purpose of this ministry is to multiply the flock. This ministry will plan various events to invite new people to experience the Abundant Life Faith Center family. This ministry will acknowledge birthdays, anniversaries, bereavement, and special occasions/milestones;Send letters and postcards to visitors to build relationships; Plan special days such as Friends & Family days, Get-to Know you receptions, picnics, luncheons, etc.
Male Fellowship Ministry
The purpose of this ministry is to teach men what is expected of a Christian man. This ministry promotes fellowship of men to encourage and strengthen each other through activities and worship. The members will plan an annual Men’s day celebration, small group bible study for men, outreach activities and additional opportunities for fellowship and Christian growth. This also includes the ALFC Male Chorus which practices bi-monthly.
Music & Praise Ministry
This ministry’s sole purpose is to give praise to God through song and to worship God in music. Members will sing unto the Lord a new song; accompanied by keyboards, drums and other instruments.
Pastor's Sunshine Ministry
This ministry will support the Pastor and First Lady by providing support, ongoing encouragement and prayer. The members will plan an annual Pastor and Wife Appreciation celebration, celebrate their birthdays, Mental Health Days, plan stay-cations, get-a-ways, etc.

Property Ministry
This ministry is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the church buildings. This involves furniture set-up, take-down, clean up, repairs, trash removal; sanctuary and fellowship hall clean-up, sanitizing and scheduling of events in the Fellowship Hall, etc.
Scholarship Ministry
This ministry will focus on students (of all ages), coordinate back-to-School Sunday, Graduation Sunday; Provide study skills & test taking suggestions, celebrate report cards quarterly, distribute care packages to college students, facilitate ongoing prayer for students; and organize fund raisers to support scholarships. Promote the importance of education.
Usher/Hospitality Ministry
This is a service ministry. The ushers serve the members of the congregation. They are expected to greet and seat people as they enter the church, distribute bulletins, assist with seating, record attendance, distribute & collect visitor cards, collect & submit prayer request forms, assist with the offering, communion, and clean the facility after service. All ushers are expected to be in uniform. All ushers are expected to assist clergy before, during and after service. The Chairperson will plan an annual Usher’s Appreciation Day. The hospitality component of the ministry involves welcoming and acknowledging guests and following up with thank you cards; Acknowledging birthdays, anniversaries, bereavement and special occasions/milestones.

Youth Ministry
This ministry is designed to teach our young Christians how to become mature Christians through fun activities, bible study, retreats, conferences/workshops and special worship services. This ministry will provide opportunities for the youth to participate in regular worship services and in community activities.
Stewardship Ministry
This ministry puts in action the biblical concepts on how to manage God’s gifts to us. This ministry will share and explain the different gifts that we possess such as time, unique talents, resources, and service. This ministry will plan activities throughout the year to promote stewardship. The Chairperson will coordinate a Stewardship Kick-Off Campaign (prior to the Advent season). This campaign will include teaching, special worship services, distribution of commitment cards, blessing of the cards, etc. This campaign will serve to prepare the church’s budget for the incoming year. This ministry works very closely with the Finance Ministry to keep accurate records; to prepare and submit quarterly reports regarding membership commitment status. Send thank you letters at the end of the campaign and distribute reminder postcards/letters throughout the year.
Women's Ministry
The purpose of this ministry is to teach women what is expected of a Christian woman in this busy world. This ministry encourages Christian growth and sisterhood. The Chairperson will plan an annual Women’s day celebration; Women will participate in small group Bible Study/Book Clubs, Retreats, Self-Care, and other activities to increase their faith.
